When you think of visiting Australia, rarely does Canberra come to mind as a tourism destination. Unless, of course, you're interested in Australian history & politics, in which case the city offers a wide range of museums and public buildings worth seeing. After all, Canberra is the nation's capital.
In the centre of the city lies Hotel Kurrajong, a heritage-listed hotel, which historically housed Members of Parliament and other public servants, including at one point the Prime Minister. Since being converted into a hotel, the historical significance of the building has not been forgotten, and its story continues to be shared by proud staff members.
Stylish, luxurious, and comfortable, Hotel Kurrajong superseded our expectations. Think jazz music, Art Deco details adorning the walls, large comfortable lounges, elegant rooms, and not to mention, amazing food! Whether you're passing by for the night, or spending a few days exploring the city, Hotel Kurrajong is the perfect place to stay.
