"Katamama is a boutique hotel in Bali, Indonesia. Every detail has been handmade or handpicked, using Indonesia's centuries-old traditions interpreted in a modern and timeless context. All private suites are the expression of understated luxury. "
Upon entering the impressive brick staircase of the hotel's foyer, you will hear the words "welcome home". That is exactly how Katamama makes you feel -- at home. Within minutes of settling into our room, the doorbell rang and a professional mixologist presented an array of ingredients to craft cocktails based on our liquor and flavour preferences. (If you didn't know, Katamama is an extension of Potato Head Beach Club, which is one of the best spots on the island to lounge, swim and enjoy Bali's famous sunsets.) Safe to say, the cocktails our barista hand-crafted were nothing short of incredible. From that moment to the moment we left, we were completely pampered.
While we had our own private pool, guests also have access to the hotel pool and beach club pool. One thing you MUST do, is eat at their Indonesian restaurant, Kaum. Not only does the restaurant stay true to Indonesian flavours, the atmosphere and views are unbeatable.
The group recently extended their property with an additional 800 rooms and a second beach club. We will definitely be checking it out.
